Many of us feel we owe it to our friends and colleagues to vote the way they do, or social pressures and false advertising may lead you to believe that supporting a certain cause or development is a paramount ambition that earns your primary vote and the residual to the recommendations of those politicians.
Wow, that is crazy... just crazy, Australian politics would have to be the most coercive in the western world when it comes to that.
I mean when you break it down voting is a very simple process, yet so many invest so much, just to get your attention as opposed to gaining and earning your trust through value, honesty and integrity.
Many scoff at that, and that's why we are on this road of division and animosity that we should not be on, our future is important and Many will believe the media as gospel without reading the fine print or researching the methods or even the constitutional viability.
Here's a small list of things to be sure of before voting on March 8 in Western Australia.
Make sure you understand the policies, not the hype selling them.
Would you take the words of a car salesman?, would you buy a house without inspecting it?, why risk your family, home, income, health and freedom on an uneducated vote?... know your politician, how do these policies benefit you, yes you, not everyone else.. you.
Understand the reality, methods and outcomes of the policies.
All too often the politicians can promise the world and everything in it, they can offer you the moon while taking away the sun. It's all good and well to promise to deliver, yet is the method there?, Road tested?, eplainations on exactly how that will be achieved?, if not, chances are it's a pipe dream being sold to you, in other words, lies.
Law and legal are different.
Make sure the candidate you vote for understands the constitution and law, how it affects, controls and governs their role in our society, what their oath to the people means, how it's to be upheld and their duties to be fulfilled within that role.
Default policies.
What defaults are offered in the case of their policies not going as planned?, what contingencies?, what amendments?, what future proposals will the candidate be looking to take forward on behalf of the people in the community should their attempts fail legislation? .
Look where you are, ask how you got here.
if things are consistently at an all time high, such as crime, mental health and homelessness, then perhaps always voting for the "norm" because ole mate on facebook or in the paper says so, is what made that happen; just because they spend your money on advertising doesn't make them the better brand, representative or even person.
Vote wisely
Our freedom was bought and paid for by the lives of countless individuals sacrificed on the alter, don't let an abuse of the legal system allow the governments of Australia or the United Nations agreements to dominate our constitutional rights to oppose lax, corrupt, illegal and criminal acts by the corporate led governments and political parties.
Good luck
